2017 Subaru BRZ

The BRZ's revised styling makes the distinction painfully clear right off the bat. It now sports a squarer jawline, with a chin described by senior designer Yuki Kumono as aircraft-inspired. LED DRLs are embedded in the new headlamps, moved up from the space they once shared with fog lights.

The 2.0-liter boxer four makes five more horsepower and five more pound-feet of torque only on manual-transmission cars. That brings the totals to 205 hp and 156 lb.-ft. Subaru has focused on the overall driving feel, that elusive metric that can't be expressed on a spec sheet or through the frothing internet comments of armchair racers. Subaru's engineers, some of whom are trained as the company's expert test drivers, have toiled away at a host of improvements for the base Premium trim, the upper Limited grade, and a new Performance Package that's available on top of the latter.

Sliding into the 2017 car, the cabin immediately feels more upscale and welcoming than the Spartan pre-facelift model's. Most of the touchable surfaces, including the dash, door panels, and center console, come slathered in soft stitched materials instead of the old hard plastic.  The steering wheel gets an upgrade as well, with the old plain-Jane design giving way to one with grippier and suppler cross-stitched leather. That may not seem like a big difference, but after white-knuckling it around a fast circuit, your hands will thank you. A big change from the 2016 is that there are actual controls on the spokes – basic stereo functions on one side, and a way to flip through vehicle information on the other. The latter controls a 4.2-inch TFT screen that displays everything from outside temperature to power and torque curves, replacing the rather blank-looking analog fuel and engine temp gauges of old.

HUFFINES SUBARU DENTON WILL “SHARE THE LOVE” WITH TEXAS COALITION FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION

DENTON, TX, April 15-16 2016 -- Huffines Subaru Denton has announced it will donate $25,000 to the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection as a participant in Subaru’s annual “Share the Love” event.

On Friday April 15, 2016 Owner of Huffines Dealership Ray Huffines will present a donation check in the amount of $25,000 to members of the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection, a local nonprofit organization that provides compassionate solutions to pet overpopulation and community animal welfare.  The donations come as a result of Huffines Subaru of Denton’s successful month of December sales in participation with the Subaru “Share the Love” event.

Subaru recently finished its seventh annual “Share the Love” charity campaign, which resulted in donations amounting to over $65 million to charitable causes and nonprofits.  Over the course of their 2015 campaign Subaru would “Share the Love” by donating $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased.  As result of their participation, Huffines Subaru of Denton retailer was able to raise $25,000 for local charity of their choosing, the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection.

About choosing the TCAP charity, General Sales Manager Anthony Reich shared “we wanted to support our local community members and TCAP was an outstanding example of a local business with a friendly staff that positively represents our community.”  Reich and his wife utilized TCAP’s vaccination services for their family dog during a recent move when there was a time crunch.  “The organization stayed open late to allow us in and really came through for us in a pinch,” says Reich.

Saturday April 16, 2016 TCAP will be on site at Huffines Subaru Denton 5150 S Interstate 35 E, Denton, TX 76210 from 10am to Noon offering low cost vaccinations, microchipping services and pet adoptions. For every person that purchases a vehicle and adopts a pet, Huffines Subaru Denton will apply an additional $250 discount.

Huffines Subaru Denton has participated in Subaru’s “Share the Love” campaign since it’s inception, a campaign now entering its 8th year.  This is the 2nd year Huffines Subaru Denton has chosen to donate its proceeds to a local charity. The dealership is currently on the lookout for a local charity to partner with for the upcoming 2016 “Share the Love” event.

2016 Subaru Forester XT

This compact crossover is unlike any of the competition as it is larger than your typical compact.  The practicality and performance is ahead of the curve.

Tall for a compact crossover, the Forester sports unusually large windows to provide driver and passengers a great vantage point. A long, fairly flat hood settled over a protruding front end dominated by large twin-projector headlamps and a blacked-out grille.  Big doors, a hatchback and fairly flat sides kept the emphasis on practical, with the Forester appearing ready and able to haul five lumberjacks to their forest.  But look closer. Smallish dual exhausts protrude discreetly from beneath the rear bumper, and the XT rolls on slightly larger 225/55 tires wrapped around nice-looking 18-inch alloy wheels.

The XT gets its motivation from an unusual “flat” four-cylinder engine that spins all four wheels coupled to a continuously variable transmission.  Mainstream Foresters feature a normally aspirated 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four – meaning its cylinders lie parallel to the street, with two on each side.  Most four-bangers stand upright, with all four cylinders in a straight line, an arrangement that is less effective for weight distribution than that of the Subaru.

In XT models, Subaru goes a step further, fitting it with a turbocharged 2-liter four similar to the growler in the WRX sedan.  Although Subaru limits the version in the XT to 250 horsepower, that is still a substantial 80 more than in regular models of the Forester.  The Forester goes 0 to 60 in a quick 6.3 seconds, according to Car and Driver.

Come see one for yourself at Huffines Subaru Denton 5150 South Interstate 35 E Denton, TX or give us a call at 940-321-2504 today!

2016 Subaru Forester

This crossover sport utility vehicle is a very solid, practical and flexible offering that is easy to drive and has off-road capability with tons of cargo room.

You have an option between two different engines.  A 2-liter, turbocharged and intercooled four-cylinder makes 250 horsepower and 258 foot-pounds starting at a low 2,000 rpm in the Forester 2.0XT.  It boasts a federal government fuel economy rating of 25 miles per gallon in combined city/highway travel.  The more popular engine is the base 170-horsepower, 2.5-liter, non-turbocharged four cylinder, which is rated at 25 mpg to 27 mpg in combined city/highway travel, depending on whether the engine is mated to a manual transmission of a more fuel-optimizing CVT.

All Foresters, including base models, come standard with all-wheel drive, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, rear-vision camera, power windows, door locks and outside mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control, air conditioning and AM/FM radio with CD and MP3 players.  There's no denying the Forester offers good room for front- and back-seat passengers, and everyone sits up from the pavement and gets decent views.  Cargo space expands to a full 68.5 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down, which is surprising for a vehicle that's only 15 feet long and has good maneuverability.

Also, the 2016 Forester earned five out of five stars in federal government crash tests that measured occupant protection, continuing its high rating since the 2014 model year. It's also a recommended buy of Consumer Reports magazine.

2016 Subaru WRX

Subaru has announced the 2016 Subaru WRX has received the 2015 Top Safety Pick award and, when equipped with the optional Eyesight Driver Assist Technology, the 2015 Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The 2016 WRX achieved the highest possible rating of ‘Good’ in the Institute’s crashworthiness evaluations of front small overlap, front moderate overlap, side impact, roof crush and rear impact.  The vehicle also received a ‘Superior’ rating in the Institute’s front crash avoidance testing.  The rally-bred WRX is powered by a 268 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine.

New features available on the 2016 WRX include Blind Spot Detection/ Rear Cross Traffic Alert System with Lane Change Assist, as well as Eyesight with Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Departure Warning.  To win 2015 Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must have “Good” ratings in all four tests of high-speed front and side crash tests, a rollover test, and evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts.  In addition, “Good” or “Acceptable” performance in a small overlap front test introduced in 2012 is also required. The same level of performance in those tests, along with an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating for front crash prevention, is required for the higher accolade, 2015 Top Safety Pick.

#SUBARU LAUNCHES TELEVISION SPOT FOR 2015 #XV #CROSSTREK

Subaru finds inner ‘Fountain of Youth’ in new ad

Cherry Hill, N.J. -  Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) has debuted its new advertising campaign for the 2015 XV Crosstrek with the television spot, “Fountain”. The new spot, created by agency of record Carmichael Lynch, focuses on the vehicle’s go-anywhere attitude and fun-loving spirit.

Fountain
Never underestimate the power of getting away from it all. In this commercial for the Subaru XV Crosstrek, a couple takes the road less traveled and finds rejuvenation along the way. The protagonist couple becomes physically younger as they venture out in the vehicle, illustrating how a drive in a new XV Crosstrek can unleash the hidden child in us all.

The song featured in the television spot is "Beautiful Day" from Joshua Radin's album Wax Wings (2013). Joshua is releasing a new version of "Beautiful Day" in 2015, which features guest vocals by Sheryl Crow.

“The XV Crosstrek advertising campaign demonstrates how this fun-to-drive crossover can go many places,” said Alan Bethke, vice president of marketing for Subaru. “The XV Crosstrek offers fuel economy, cargo capacity and all-wheel drive, as well as the latest safety and entertainment technology,” Bethke added.

2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek
The versatile XV Crosstrek combines bold five-door design, a highly capable chassis, best-in-class fuel economy and updated multimedia features. Standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, 8.7-inches of ground clearance, 17-inch alloy wheels and ample room make the XV Crosstrek a high-capability crossover.

Now Subaru’s third best selling model, the XV Crosstrek closed 2014 with 70,956 sales. The model is one of the most fuel-efficient all-wheel drive crossover utility vehicles in America, delivering 34-mpg EPA-estimated highway fuel economy.
The 2015 XV Crosstrek earned the Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), as well as the Top Safety Pick+ rating when equipped with EyeSight® driver assist system.

Test Drive: 2015 Subaru Forester ups performance and features, but remains an old reliable.

You don’t have to own a kayak or live off the land to love a Subaru Forester. This popular crossover gets the majority of its love from having an all-around good nature and innate practicality. As an alternative to small SUVs like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape, the Forester delivers value, economy, and class-leading safety ratings.

BY KATE MCLEOD  NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Wednesday, August 27, 2014, 12:36 PM

The 2015 Subaru Forester remains on a hot streak, thanks to its combination of value, safety, and driving dynamics.

During the last recession, when personal fortunes were lost and the auto industry tanked, Subaru and Hyundai were the only two automakers that increased sales. That may have been because the primary driving force behind the Subaru brand isn’t flashy looks or incredible performance – it’s practicality, combined with good measure of ground clearance, all-wheel drive (AWD) and hatchback utility.

And while the stock market has rebounded enough to feed the luxury market again, Subaru keeps the popularity it found in the recession. For the first six months of 2014, Subaru sales are more than 74,000, an increase of about one third over the same period last year.

Subaru has made big improvements in its products over the last few years—they are roomier, sportier, better looking and better equipped. That goes for the Forester crossover SUV, which was brand-new in 2014 and remains status quo for 2015.

We drove the 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Touring Model out to the Rockaways recently, through some heavy traffic and along clear stretches with views of Brooklyn beaches. The test car was powered by a 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder boxer-style engine (the cylinders are horizontal to the ground), which produces 170-horsepower and 174 lb.-ft. of torque.

Paired with a continuously variable (CVT) automatic transmission that replaces the former four-speed automatic, the Forester achieves significant gains in fuel economy. The CVT has a low shift mode for additional engine braking when traveling down a grade. (A six-speed manual is optional.)

The Forester’s official EPA fuel economy is 24-mpg city/32-mpg highway. During our time with it, in a combination of stop and start traffic along with open highway, we achieved a combined rating of 27-mpg. The Forester accelerates strongly, with a subdued engine sound and spirited enough passing grunt to make you forget you’re in an SUV.

Even with careening cabs and trucks on New York’s rough and tumble roads, the Subaru felt secure and capable. The four-wheel independent suspension and electric, power-assisted steering allow for quick dynamic reflexes and a comfortable, assured ride.

The 2015 Forester 2.5i model is available in base, Premium, Limited and top-line Touring versions. Our test car was listed at $33,263 (including destination charge) and came equipped with options such as navigation system, auto dim mirrors, and Subaru’s driver assist system. This last option includes a suite of safety features, like pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and pre-throttle collision management. With these items included, the Subaru Forester has earned top marks in the IIHS safety tests and is rated a “Top Safety Pick.”

The fourth redo of the Forester barely changes the exterior measurements, but it does give occupants more hip and shoulder room and higher seating hip points. Even with 8.7 inches of ground clearance, the Forester has a comfortable step-in height.

Rear passenger legroom was increased 3.7 inches, to 41.7 inches overall. A lower center tunnel and shorter front console help make life more comfortable for anyone occupying the second row’s middle seat. Cargo space is among the best in class at 74.7 cu. ft., which is an increase of 6.1 cu. ft. over the previous Forester.

You can get the Forester in punchier 2.0 XT format, too. This includes a 250-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-4 engine. A high-torque version of the CVT is standard in the Forester 2.0XT models, and it features 6-speed and 8-speed manual shift modes with steering wheel paddle switches. A sport-tuned suspension and bigger brakes are also added. The 2.0XT models have their own front-end styling including a sportier front bumper, a mesh grille and chrome-rimmed fog light bezels, along with 18-inch wheels.

The Subaru Forester comes standard with a 170-hp flat-4 engine, coupled to a very competent all-wheel-drive system.
The turbocharged Forester 2.0XT is offered in Premium and Touring versions. The top-line Touring models come standard with a touch screen navigation system and 440-watt Harman/Kardon 8-speaker audio system. The navigation system integrates smartphone features. Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and audio streaming, with steering wheel switches is standard on all models.

The less powerful Forester is the bargain of the bunch, however. It’s a great car for the city, and the standard all-wheel-drive provides enough go-anywhere grip for voyages into the countryside.

Affordably priced and one of the safest vehicles out there, the Subaru Forester proves that popularity is due to a lot more than trends and fickle fashion.

The History of Subarus

The Subaru has been one of the most popular cars on the market, especially since the 1990’s. Fuji Heavy Industries built the first Subaru in 1954, the Subaru 1500. 20 of these were built that year with rigorous private testing done with a few taxi drivers and the initial feedback was outstanding.

Fuji continued to produce Subaru’s and got a major breakthrough with the first import into America in 1968. The Subaru 360 was small, but Americans could see the potential in the brand and continued to import the vehicles.

1974 Japan produced the first 4x4 Subaru, with only a pull of the handle making the vehicle switch to 4x4. The US Ski Team then chose the Subaru as the car of choice in 1976 which prompted Subaru to rise to the 5th most imported car in 1977.
In 1993, 25 years after the first import bought the Impreza to the market. The Impreza continued to be improved upon each year as more varieties were introduced.

Fast forwarding to 2009, Subaru have four main versions, the Impreza, Outback, Forester and Legacy. These have continually evolved and in 2012 there were 336,441 Subaru’s sold in the USA, with the Outback back the most sold with 117,000.

The Subaru continues to impress the American market. With 630 dealers across the states that trend is set to continue. In a testimony to how sturdy the Subaru is, over 90% of all-wheel-drive Subaru’s sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today.

At Huffines Subaru Denton, we believe you should expect a hassle free experience during the car shopping process. We take pride in serving our greater McKinney, Dallas and Plano customers to the highest level possible.

Subaru Showcases the 2015 WRX STI at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show

Subaru debuted the 2015 WRX STI on the second media day of the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.  The WRX STI takes everything that makes the WRX great and makes it greater. The WRX is Subaru’s high performance car but Subaru has found a way to increase that performance with the 2015 WRX STI by packing more power and with a more aggressive suspension tune. The look as also been upgraded with a sporty wing and gold wheels.
The 2015 WRX STI’s power remains unchanged, packing the 2.5 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder boxer engine with 305 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque.  Also unchanged in the STI is the six speed manual transmission as the only way to change the car’s gears. Because the powertrain remains essentially unchanged, zero to 60 mph acceleration can still happen in about 4.6 seconds as in the previous model.

The big changes to the STI lie in its handling. The STI has a stiffer chassis from the increased use of high-strength steel, which allows for faster response and quick turning. The AWD drivetrain is equipped with a center differential that allows for 41.59 torque split and is unique to this model.

Also, a new torque-vectoring system has been incorporated into the STI. Furthermore, the STI uses a rotary dial on the dash that allows the driver to select on of three powertrain modes, Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp.
The inside of the STI also has been upgraded with a flat bottomed steering wheel, Alcantara seats and a 4.3 inch LCD screen. Optional upgrades include leather seats, a moon roof and a Harmon/Kardon Stereo.

Huffines Subaru Denton is conveniently located at 5150 S Interstate 35E in Denton, Texas and has a wide variety of new and used cars. We would be happy to assist you in your search for a new vehicle or answer any questions you may have. We look forward to working for you!

Subaru Levorg Concept

Subaru unveiled its new Legacy car line when it unveiled the new Levorg concept car at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.  The concept stands for “Legacy”, “Revolution”, and “Touring” and is designed to combine practicality and sports car handling.  The Levorg is expected to hit the Japanese market next year.
Subaru says that the Levorg has been designed for high aerodynamic efficiency and uses a body with ultra-high tensile steel for light weight and rigidity.  The heaxagonal grille and sleek headlights define its character as a sports car.

Under the hood is a new 1.6-liter horizontally-opposed direct injection turbo version of the legendary Subaru Boxer engine.
Subaru’s innovative EyeSight driver assist system has been updated for the Levorg and now features greater visibility and wider viewing angles for the Active Cruise Control and Pre-Collision Braking Control systems.  The next generation EyeSight introduces a new Active Lane Keep System.

Inside the Levorg you will find piano black and metal trim, ice-blue lighting on the instruments and a LCD color display that provides constant updates on vehicle status.

The Levorg goes on sale in Japan early next year and there is no word yet on a U.S. release date, but the impressive concept further proves how innovative Subaru is as a company.  To see the latest and greatest in Subaru’s impressive line of vehicles, visit Huffines Subaru at 5150 South Interstate 35E in Denton, Texas or give us a call at 940-321-2504 today!

Subaru WRX is Scorching

Subaru is on fire and the WRX has it burning even hotter.  This week at the Los Angeles Auto Show the 2014 Subaru WRX had its world premiere.

The rally-bred car did not disappoint.  It rides on an entirely new platform to make it stiffer and more agile and it has bigger brakes and a performance tuned suspension.  The new torque vectoring system reduces understeer for the all -wheel drive car.  This helps with the new 268 horsepower 2 liter turbo engine and the 6 speed manual transmission.

The car is much roomier with an extra inch on the wheelbase.  This gives the car a bolder overall look.  KBB Analyst Karl Brauer said “Subaru fans are possibly the most dedicated in the automotive world and WRX fans are the most dedicated within the group.  The latest version is a visual stunner with even more advanced performance technology.  The order line forms to the left.”

Subaru also marked the 25th anniversary of the Legacy with a stylish Legacy concept to show future design for the car.

Subaru has been growing faster than the competition with a 28.1 % increase in sales vs. the industry overall growth of 8.4%.  This is in large part due to the redesigned Forester and all new XV Crosstek.  They are also working on a Crosstrek hybrid that will be the car company’s first gas-electric car.

For more information on these and the many new vehicles Subaru is unveiling, come by Huffines Subaru Denton 5150 South Interstate 35 E Denton, Texas or give us a call at 940-321-2504 today!

The best new SUV? The 2014 Subaru Forester

The new 2014 Subaru Forester is the highest rated compact SUV on the market today, and with good reason. The newly designed Forester has advantages over all other competitors in many different aspects of itself.

The new 2014 Subaru Forester has a four-cylinder engine that offers 170 hp, with upgrades to a turbo-charged engine available that comes with a whopping 250 hp at 5,600 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque between 2,000 rpm and 4,800 rpm when consuming premium unleaded. The base model four-cylinder engine, with continuously variable transmission (CVT) achieves 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, which is at the top of the compact SUV class. This is an improvement on the 2013 Subaru Forester, which achieved 21/27 mpg with a four-cylinder engine.

The 2014 Subaru Forester has continued it’s legacy as an extremely safe compact SUV and even going a step further, earning the 2013 Top Safety Pick. New this year is a driver knee airbag that deploys to prevent knee injuries during collisions and anti-whiplash seats. Other improvements in safety include Subaru’s new EyeSight driver assist technology, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control system, a Pre-Collision Braking system and a Vehicle Lane Departure Warning system. This is offered in select models.

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew took home their third consecutive Rally America Nation Championship at the Lake Superior Performance Rally in Michigan!
The race came down to a duel between Subaru USA and the Hoonigan Racing team of Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino as an overall win in this race would have put either team in first place points-wise and clinched the coveted title.

Higgins and Subaru took the lead on day one with a 13.4-second lead.  The next day Hoonigan’s driver Ken Block rolled his car, clinching the deal for Subaru.

“The pace Block and I were both going made it entirely possible to happen to any one of us,” Higgins said.  “It was the fastest that we have ever gone.”

Subaru Forester Wins Again

Experts at Motor Trend recently confirmed something we’ve long suspected.  Well actually they confirmed it yet again, if we’re being precise, they’ve confirmed it three times now.  What have they confirmed you might ask?  They’ve confirmed the following statement to be true… “Subaru is… Awesome.”

Motor Trend, the popular car enthusiasts publication, announced today that the Subaru Forester won Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year for 2014.  This announcement marks the first and only time a manufacturer has won the title three times.  In the past six years of competition Subaru has had three winners, the 2014 Forester, 2010 Outback, and the 2009 Forester.  The 2013 XV Crosstrek also ranked as a finalist in 2012.
Editor-in-chief of Motor Trend, Ed Loh, said “The 2014 Subaru Forester beat a highly competitive field of SUVs because it best met our award’s six key criteria.  Smart design, thoughtful engineering, and a compelling performance on road and off were the keys to the Forester’s win.  Our editors were particularly impressed by the powerful yet efficient turbocharged engines, the intelligent and sporty CVT transmission, and the excellent visibility and interior package found within the Forester.  Practical, affordable, efficient and fun-to-drive -Forester truly ticked every box.

The incredible design and engineering teams at Subaru truly make it look easy.  2014 was a year full of many other all-new or significantly updated SUVs who all had to fall at the might of the Forester.  The SUVs that couldn’t make the cut included the Acura MDX, Audi Q5, BMW X1, Land Rover Ranger Rover Sport, Hyundai Santa Fe, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota RAV4, Buick Encore, and the Dodge Durango.
“We are honored to receive the MOTOR TREND Sport/Utility of the Year award for the third time,” said Thomas J. Doll, president, and chief operation officer, Subaru of America, Inc.  “Our product, engineering, sales and marketing teams all work hard to provide the best products and experiences we can for our owners.  Receiving this distinction from MOTOR TREND truly adds credence to our mission.”

To judge contenders for the award, MOTOR TREND's editorial staff conducted an exhaustive three-phase testing process. Phase one includes a full tech check and weigh-in, then full track testing to establish baseline data for acceleration, braking, and handling. Phase two involves three days of road loops offering a range of road surfaces and traffic conditions to evaluate ride and handling, engine and transmission smoothness and responsiveness, wind and road noise, and ergonomics. A dirt-track section tests traction, stability, and braking control systems. In the third phase the judges debate and deliberate. The judging criteria include categories of Design Advancement, Engineering Excellence, Performance of Intended Function, Efficiency, Safety, and Value.

The ingenious Boxer Engine, CVT technology, all-wheel drive, and IIHS Top Safety Pick +, as well as the affordable price tag, ensured Subaru a victory and the 2014 Forester is truly the ultimate all around-vehicle.

Subaru Among the Best Used Cars for 2013

Edmunds.com releases a “Best Used Cars” list each year informing consumers on what vehicle in the used car market is the top performer in each category. The selections are based on the criteria of reliability, safety, and value and vehicles made from 2006-2011 are eligible. It comes with no surprise that Subaru took first place on the list.
Edging out all other vehicles in the Wagon category, Edmunds.com experts named the 2006-’11 Subaru Outback as the number one vehicle of choice for used car customers.

This selection includes two generations of the Outback, 2005-’09 and 2010-’11.  The first generation offers a wide variety of trim levels and engine choices include a 170-hp four cylinder, a 243-hp turbocharged four cylinder and a 245-hp six cylinder.  All-wheel drive was standard on every Outback, which is a real asset given the wide range of terrain Texas drivers travel on.

The later generation Outback was updated to have more passenger and cargo room within a similar footprint thanks to its increased height and width.  The six cylinder engine increased the horsepower to 256 and thanks to the roomy backseat, increased storage space, and better fuel economy, the 2010-’11 horsepower boasts high practicality.
Subaru Outbacks have a solid reputation for their solid build quality and well-balanced ride and handling qualities.  Reliability is the chief concern among used car shoppers, and no one has a better track record than Subaru.  96% of all Subaru vehicles built in the last 12 years are still on the road today, thanks to the ingenious Subaru boxer engine.

So if you’re in the market for a used vehicle, don’t settle for anything less than the best.  Visit the most experienced Subaru dealership in Texas, Huffines Subaru is located at 5150 South Interstate 35E or you can give us a call at 940-321-2504 today!

Subaru Satisfaction

Purchasing a new car can be a stressful experience.  With so many options to choose from it begs the question, am I purchasing the right car?  At the end of the day, we believe your new car shouldn’t be something your only moderately pleased with.  You deserve complete satisfaction, your car should be a vehicle that you love and keeps you on the road safely for many, many years.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) is an economic indicator that measures the satisfaction of consumers in the U.S.  The ACSI interviews over 80,000 Americans every year and asks about their satisfaction with the goods and services they have consumed.

In their automotive study this year, Subaru was the highest ranked non-luxury marque on the list.
Subaru finished #3 overall on the list, just behind Mercedes-Benz and Lexus, making it the number one non-luxury automotive in terms of customer satisfaction.

The study was shared by Yahoo news and received a flurry of comments from Subaru owners exchanging notes, praising their vehicles, and competing to see who has the most miles on their reliable vehicles.  96% of Subaru vehicles built in the last 12 years are still on the road today, so there’s plenty of people able to brag about the hundreds of thousands of miles their Subaru has endured.

No doubt, a Subaru is a vehicle that you can fall in love with, name it, and let it be part of your family.  And Huffines Subaru is the best place to find one.  Like the cars we sell, we believe customer satisfaction is the number one priority and we encourage all of our customers to leave feedback about our service which you can read here.
