Fairy Tales and Huffines Subaru of Denton

A fairy tale is a type of short story that is typically found in oral and literary form and features characters not found in real life because of their magical or enchanted attributes and characteristics.  They are stories that are relished by both young and old alike.

A fairy tale is also used to describe something with unusual happiness or a story that is far-fetched because it is not only not true, but couldn’t possibly be true.  In modern times, ideal circumstances are said to have a “fairy tale ending.”

The History of Subarus

The Subaru has been one of the most popular cars on the market, especially since the 1990’s. Fuji Heavy Industries built the first Subaru in 1954, the Subaru 1500. 20 of these were built that year with rigorous private testing done with a few taxi drivers and the initial feedback was outstanding.

Fuji continued to produce Subaru’s and got a major breakthrough with the first import into America in 1968. The Subaru 360 was small, but Americans could see the potential in the brand and continued to import the vehicles.

1974 Japan produced the first 4x4 Subaru, with only a pull of the handle making the vehicle switch to 4x4. The US Ski Team then chose the Subaru as the car of choice in 1976 which prompted Subaru to rise to the 5th most imported car in 1977.
In 1993, 25 years after the first import bought the Impreza to the market. The Impreza continued to be improved upon each year as more varieties were introduced.

Fast forwarding to 2009, Subaru have four main versions, the Impreza, Outback, Forester and Legacy. These have continually evolved and in 2012 there were 336,441 Subaru’s sold in the USA, with the Outback back the most sold with 117,000.

The Subaru continues to impress the American market. With 630 dealers across the states that trend is set to continue. In a testimony to how sturdy the Subaru is, over 90% of all-wheel-drive Subaru’s sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today.

At Huffines Subaru Denton, we believe you should expect a hassle free experience during the car shopping process. We take pride in serving our greater McKinney, Dallas and Plano customers to the highest level possible.
