We were searching for a
four seater fun to drive sport coupe. It
had to have strong and quick road manners, smooth as silk manual stick, sleek
exterior and especially a price that wouldn't break the bank. We found it at Huffines Subaru of Denton in
the form of a Subaru BMX.
This sporty Subaru is just
a pleasure to drive, thanks to its agile handling and responsive steering. This little jewel of a sports car comes
standard with a 2.0-liter four cylinder, rear wheel drive and a six-speed
manual transmission. A six-speed
automatic is also available if you don't like to bother with the stick.
If you think you need 300
horses to have fun, think again. That
test drive with the BRZ will prove you wrong.
This sleek machine is lightweight and low riding. Even the Subaru folks
say the center of gravity is lower than a Ferrari's 458's. How low can you go?
The Subaru engineers
designed the BRZ to maximize the driver’s enjoyment and especially
entertainment. The torque that the BRZ
delivers gives you quick acceleration with its 200 horses powering this
lightweight sports coupe. The handling
is probably best in its class from my experience and it drives as if it is in
perfect harmony with what you want the BRZ to perform. It delivers real messages of what is
happening back to the hands of the driver.
Our BRZ had no trouble tackling corners due to its sharp handling,
precise steering and strong braking. Did
I mention it was fun to drive! Yep,
probably did and you will too when you visit the trustworthy guys at http://www.huffinessubaru.com and schedule
your test drive. If it takes longer,
they won't mind; they just love to see smiles on their customers' faces.
Standard features include
Subaru's new Starlink touch screen infotainment system, satellite radio, USB
port, Bluetooth and a rear view camera.
We opted for the very smooth leather upholstery as it just goes with a
sports car. My wife added the dual-zone
climate control system as she said I freeze her out all the time. I guess that is because I just want to be
cool.
I was curious what the BRZ
letters stood for and was informed by our very intelligent sales consultant
said that it means B for boxer, R for rear wheel drive and Z is for
Zenith. I think I get two of the
three. But who cares, this sleek little
sports car is great to drive and enjoy.
We got what we wanted in this four seater as the rear area is reserved
for Tom and Jerry (our two Labs).
Subaru has that solid
reputation of producing excellent cars that keep their value, have high
customer satisfaction, reliability and super safety standards. They will not let you down. Do take that test drive and just be happy
again.
